Leash on a Little Dog

The school bully hired me, the top student in our grade, to date him so he could one-up the campus heartthrob. I wanted his huge paycheck. He wanted me to crush his sworn rival. And so the whole school witnessed the strangest pairing imaginable-the unruly, lawless school bully showing up at my classroom door every day like clockwork to “clock in” for our public displays of affection. When he got into fights, I stopped him. When he got angry, I soothed him. When he got all awkward and sulky, I patted his head. Everyone was stunned. “A mad dog on a chain-isn’t this just the Evil Old Lady and her Curly Teddy?”
