Raising Kids in the Countryside: The Frail Educated Youth’s Laid-Back Life in the ’80s
八零:病弱知青在鄉下養崽開擺
by 單雙的單
Synopsis
After struggling to survive for more than a decade in a post-apocalyptic wasteland, Song Wei finally dies. Her greatest regret? She never once managed to eat her fill. When she opens her eyes again, she finds herself reborn as an educated youth sent to the rural Northeast during the 1980s. The bad news: the original owner of her body is a frail beauty, hopelessly lovestruck, and little more than a decorative vase. The good news: this world is completely normal. There is no radiation, no mutated monsters, and the village where she’s been assigned is backed by a vast mountain range overflowing with edible treasures. At last… she can finally eat as much as she wants! Before long, the sickly young woman everyone believed couldn’t lift a basket transforms into someone who can beat wild boars with her fists, carry entire tree trunks on her shoulders, chase off hooligans, and even argue with the village aunties without ever losing.
